On Thursday, January 21, 2021, Charles (also lovingly known as Pappaw, Bubba and Scooter-Man) passed from this world to return home and reunite with loved ones who had gone before him.

He was born in Jackson, TN in 1945 to the late Charles E. Taylor, Sr., and Christine Gullett Taylor Kail (Mama Kail).

His career was unique and varied. While he retired as a Senior Cost Analyst with the Pictsweet Company in Bells, TN, he also worked at Maytag, and was Production Manager at the old Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was a skilled craftsman, owning and operating his own custom frame shop for several years. He served his community in numerous ways including stints as a little league baseball coach, Pee Wee football coach, softball coach, umpire and as a dedicated servant of the church. During retirement, he spent days and night with friends, camping, fishing, and working puzzles. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed canvasing the area for the best Mexican food. He doted on his grandchildren, and loved his furry canine companion, Mandy. He lived a life of service always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Charles placed his faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and never wavered, always expressing his firm belief in his Savior, and lived accordingly. He was a member of Bible Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, L. A. Kail; brother, Kenny Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Ferguson Taylor; Sons - Marc Taylor (Mary), David Hall (Cynthia); Daughters - Karen Ellis (Russ), Karol Morris (Lynn), Lisa Humphrey (Jerry); Sister - Belinda Burns (Robert); Brother - Edward Taylor; Grandchildren - Mason Taylor (Presley), Jordan Taylor, Anna Taylor, Amanda Geater, Andrew Davis, Zachary Hall, Parker Hall, Rusty Ellis, Keaton Ellis, Ashton Lowrance (Lyndsay), Hannah Lowrance; Great-grandchildren - Greyson Coleman, Leo Hall, Raiden Hall. He is also survived by his very special friends, Jack and Linda Brasket, and Kay Schang.
