Clifford Allen "Cokey" Elder

Funeral Services for Mr. “Cokey” Elder will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 1 P.M. in the chapel of Replogle~Lawrence Funeral Home with Mr. Tim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Browns Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior from 11 A.M. till service time. 

Mr. Elder, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Spring Creek after a long illness, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 14, 2024. 

He was born in Beech Bluff to the late “Rick” and Marjorie Love Elder. As a young child, he moved to Spring Creek where he would spend the rest of his life doing what he knew best and that was farming. “Cokey” enjoyed fishing and hunting also whenever time allowed. 

“Cokey” is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dona Sue Mooney Elder; son, Robin Elder and wife Holly; daughter, Shanah Powell and husband Tim; sisters, Mary Capps and husband Larry, Joyce Ormandy and husband David; granddaughters, Brandy Volner and husband Nathan, Kasey Allen and husband Ethan, Kayla Hill and husband Bruce; great grandchildren, Braxton and Briley Hill; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

Pallbearers to serve are: Nathan Volner, Ethan Allen, Bruce Hill, Chad Williams, Michael Brown, Ricky Gowan.

Honorary pallbearers are: J.D. Middleton, Larry Capps, Chris Mooney, Jeff Brown, Gregg Brown, Anthony White, Curtis McDowell, Mark Caldwell, Richard Bailey.
