Doris Alene Shelton Richmond

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Richmond will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2022,  in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Denning officiating.  Burial will follow at Morris Cemetery in Greenfield.  Visitation with the family will be held from 11 A.M. till 1 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richmond, age 89, passed away after a long illness at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Doris was born in McNairy County to the late Clay Brown and Callie Martin Brown. She lived in the Rosehill / Spring Creek / and Medina communities most of her life. Mrs. Doris retired after 30 years working for Rockwell International / Porter Cable / Black & Decker in Jackson. Doris enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Prentice Shelton; second husband, Charles Richmond; son, Adrian Shelton; daughter, Judy Boals; brother, Robert Brown; sister, Arlene Goodrich.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Courtney) Shelton; grandchildren, Jessica Shelton, Mary Beth Bettie (Adam), Holly Hewitt (Jonathan) and 3 more; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
