Mrs. Evelyn Johnson

Mrs. Evelyn Browning Johnson, age 95, passed away at her daughters home in Medina on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

She was born October 19, 1924, to the late Ollie and Zula Hamilton Browning where she was raised in the Medina area. She was the oldest living member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church where she attended for over 75 years. For many years she did factory work before retiring to babysit her only grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two year old brother, Freeman; her husband of 65 years, Delmar “Hop” Johnson.

Mrs. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Becky Martin and husband Charles; grandson, David Martin and wife Elizabeth; two great-grandchildren, Corbin and Cash Martin; sister, Nell Blackburn; two nieces, Glenda Bramblet, Vickie Blackburn; nephew, Jimmy Blackburn.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Denning and Bro. Mike Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers to serve will be: David Nelson, Tommy Jones, Jimmy Blackburn, Larry Martin, Harry Martin, Bobby Browning, Tony Darby, Merle Cash, Travis Smith.
