James Odell Ellis

Funeral services for Mr. James (Jim) Odell Ellis will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will be prior from 11 A.M. till service time. 

Mr. Ellis, 71, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.

He was born in Etowah, TN to the late William Weldon Ellis and Inez (Hodge) Ellis. Jim was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was retired from the U. T. Extension Office in Jackson where he worked in computer services.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janis (Hogue) Ellis; step-mother, Billie Jean (Thompson) Ellis; step-son, Joshua Milligan; son, Cliffton Ellis.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori O’Connor and husband Patrick; Marvella Adams and husband Marty; Jennifer Ellis; son, Wesley Luke Ellis and wife Ashley; sisters, Rebecca Stallings, Kay Harrison, Ann Sellers and husband Donnie, Patty Gitterman and husband David; grandchildren, Elli O’Connor, Anna Ellis, Marleigh O’Connor.
