Jessie Lee Carey

Graveside services for Mr. Jessie Lee Carey will be held 11 A.M.  at Latham’s Chapel Cemetery on Thursday, June 13, 2024 with Bro. Steve Osborne officiating. Visitation with the family will take place prior from 10:30 A.M. till service time.

Mr. Carey, age 67, passed away surrounded by family at his home near Lavinia, TN on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Jessie was born in Somerville, TN to the late Willie Lee Carey and Elvia Lorene Burcham Carey. He attended school and has lived his entire life near Lavinia. In 1977, He married the love of his life Pamela Banks and raised two children there also. Jessie worked for Cupples J & J Machine Shop in Jackson for over 40 years before retiring.  When not working, he enjoyed mowing the yard and fishing. Jessie loved his family and all the family loved him back dearly. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Elvia; brothers, Joe, James, Lloyd, and Doyle Carey; sisters, Margie Beard, Donna Higdon, and Jewell Carey.

Jessie is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Pam Banks Carey; son, Kevin Carey and wife Mallory; daughter, Jessica Carey; grandchildren, Kaden, Kash, and Kassidy Carey, Tristin Burke, and Jayla Crowe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
