Jessie "Red" Lee Brooks

Funeral services for Mr. Jessie Lee “Red” Brooks of Medina will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Pool officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 A.M. till service time.

Mr. Brooks, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Christian Care Center in Medina, TN.

Jessie was born in Crockett County to the late Murray Lee Brooks and Lena Simmons Brooks.  He was a farmer throughout his life and also worked in road construction and as a mechanic. He was a friendly and kind man that never met a stranger and he loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Lela Mae Brooks; son, John Jessie Brooks; brother, Carl Brooks; sisters, Irene Lloyd, Ruby Brooks, Francis McCoy, and Martha Pepper.

Jessie is survived by his sons, Bobby and wife Judy Brooks of Medina, TN and Billy and wife Rose Brooks of Hastings, MI; grandchildren, Charlie, Michael, Daniel, Jonathan, Joshua, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Bray, Brody, Austin, Natalie, Gabriel, Xander, Lilith, and Lola.
