Graveside services with full Military Honors for Mr. Jimmy Burnside will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Poplar Springs Cemetery near Atwood, TN with Scott Bloodworth officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home from 12 Noon till 1:30 P.M. prior.
Mr. Burnside, age 76, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Milan, TN to the late Haskel L. Burnside and Nellie Estel Powers Burnside. Jimmy served his country as an M. P. in the Army. He worked as a shipping/receiving supervisor at Dana in Humboldt. Jimmy was a lifetime member of the D.A.V., also a member of the F. O. P., and a huge Vols fan.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Helen Lomax, Evelyn Tate, Marie Ambrose.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Melba Marsh Burnside; daughter, Samantha (Chris) Eubanks; sister, Jane Rimmer; grandchildren, Payton (Billie Anne) Foster, J.C. (Emma) Eubanks; great-grandchildren, Lillie and Sophie Foster; several nieces and nephews; fur baby, Hank.
Pallbearers to serve are Payton Foster, J.C. Eubanks, Petey Lomax, and Jerry Tate.
