Joan Ann Salerno
Graveside services for Mrs. Joan Salerno and Mr. Donald Rudy Salerno will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads with Bro. Eddie Long officiating.
Mr. Salerno passed away January 16, 2015 and will have Military Honors at the cemetery.
Mrs. Salerno, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Henderson County Hospital in Lexington, TN.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael and Mary (Cosgrove) Lacey. Joan was proud to serve her community in the roll of working election precincts. She was a devoted Catholic by faith. Joan loved watching Jeopardy and Fox News, going to the casino and playing cards with family. She also loved going out to eat and would always look for the smoking section where ever we went because of her love of smoking Lucky Strikes. Her family, grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Donald Rudy Salerno; siblings, Francis “Frank” Lacey, Mary “Sis” Mullalley, Cecilia “Dolly” Boyle, John “Jack” Lacey, Edward Lacey.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Baughman and husband Chuck, Laura Ciaccio and husband Mark; grandchildren, Kelly Lutz, Matthew Lutz, Megan Frazer, Tatiana Jordan; siblings, Eileen Carbone, Patricia Lacey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
