JOHN EDWARD BROWN
John Edward Brown, 75, of Birmingham, Alabama, died on September 10, 2021, at home.
He was born on March 9, 1946, in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Edward Jackson and Virginia Wagner Brown. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee. He retired after a 45 year career with Square D Company in Washington, D.C., Dothan, Alabama, and Seneca, South Carolina. He coached youth sports teams, mentored co-workers, and chaired the church board. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading, history, and ancestry. He was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson, South Carolina.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Olivia Nelson Brown; sons, Joel Nelson Brown, and his wife, Alison Black Brown, and Jered Byars Brown; two granddaughters, Anna Catherine Brown and Abigail Olivia Brown of Birmingham, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Anne Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, Tennessee.
