Lanell Settles

Funeral services for Mrs. Lanell Settles will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held prior from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Settles, 92, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Christian Care Center in Medina after a long illness.

She was born in Madison County, TN to the late Clarence Longmire and Clara Carter Longmire. Lanell was a retired beautician who owned and ran her own business in Medina for many years. When not working, Lanell loved to camp, work in her flower garden, and help her husband in the vegetable garden.  She was a member of Campbell Street Church of Christ.

Lanell was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Thomas Earl Settles; brother, Prentice Longmire; sister, Ruth McLemore; nephew, Marcus McLemore.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Settles; son, Tim Settles and wife Sheila; grandchildren, Trent Settles and wife Hannah, Stan Settles and wife Melina; niece, Shelia McLemore Rainey.
