Robert Wayne Hanks

Robert Hanks passed peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in Jackson, TN after a short illness. He was born in Dyersburg, TN to Charlie Robert and Norma Ruth Hamm Hanks.  Robert was drafted in 1969 to the United States Marine Corp. where he was honorably discharged after serving his time in the service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nora Ruth Hanks; and his beloved wife, Telitha Hanks.

Robert is survived by his two daughters, Sheila (Chuck) Carnell of Medina, TN and Amanda (Rick) Galloway of Lavinia, TN; five grandchildren, Allen (Miriam) Carnell of Jackson, TN, Jamie (Howard) Welch of Medina, TN, Scott Carnell of Daytona Beach, FL, Victoria and Jacob Galloway of Lavinia, TN;  five great-grandchildren, Makayla Carnell, Mason Welch, Savannah Carnell, McKenzie Welch, Sabastian Carnell; seven brother and sisters, Charles Hanks, Thomas Hanks, Shirley Noel, Martha Fowler, Kathy Hart, Helen Smarrella, and Teresa Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 6 P.M. in the Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 P.M. until service time.

Robert will be missed dearly. He was the most compassionate person you would ever meet. Heaven gained another handsome angel.                               Until we all meet again. We Love you POP!
