Thomas Jeff Banks

Graveside services for Mr. Jeff Banks will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in Latham’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Bro. Steve Osborne officiating. Visitation with the family will take place 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Banks, age 58, passed away at his home near Lavinia on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Jeff was born in Jackson, TN to the late T. J. Banks and Annie Mae Jones Banks. He attended Medina High School and lived all of his life near Medina and Lavinia. Jeff worked at the Medina Gin Company and restaurants, but his passion was mechanical work, especially trucks and lawnmowers. He loved his family and friends deeply.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; wife of nearly 23 years, Regina Keen Banks; and infant sister, Tamara Banks.

He is survived by his step-daughters, Tanya (Derek) Baker, Stacy Griffin; brothers, Gary (Beverly) Banks, Kenneth (Marie) Banks, Tony Banks; sisters, Darlene (Bobby) Gary, Phyllis (Gary) Keen, Pam (Jessie) Carey, Angie (Randy) Pool, Wanda (Juan) Garcia; 9 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers are: Colton Baker, Steven Hardwick, Dawson Hardwick, Hunter Walters, Adam Lynn Carroll.
