Thomas E. Bland

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Bland will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 4 P.M. till 7 P.M. and on Thursday from 10 A.M. till service.  

Mr. Bland, age 84, passed away at Jackson Madison County General Hospital on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Thomas was born in Bonnicord, Tn to the late Willis Sherrod (W.S.) Bland and Elvie Alford Bland. They moved to the Medina area soon after and he attended school at Fairview. He worked hard all his life as a farmer; growing row crops, truck crops, hay, raising cattle, and always had a big garden. He also worked in construction and factory production. Whenever he could, he enjoyed camping, fishing, squirrel hunting, woodworking and spending time with family. 

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Shirley Morris Bland; brothers, Albert Bland, Clyde Bland, Bobby Bland; sisters; Katie Allbritton, Becky Jean Laroque; nephews, Chuck Bland, Edward Bland, Kevin Lapka.

 He is survived by his sons, Tommy Bland, Randy Bland and wife Teresa, Donnie Bland and wife Tennille; brothers, William Bland and wife Connie, Carman Bland and wife Susan, Jerry Kenny Bland and wife Beth; grandchildren, Colton, Nathan, Lexi, Ally, Drew, Tyler, Torrie, Kaitlyn; six great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bill Laroque; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers to serve are: Nathan, Colton, Hunter, Darryl, Mark, Barry Bland, Drew Blackwell.

Honorary pallbearer are: Daniel, Scottie, Bobby Jr. Bland, Kenneth Banks.
