Funeral services for Ms. Virginia Marcella “Marcie” Porter will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held prior from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Porter, age 91, passed away June 1, 2019, at NHC Healthcare in Milan.

She was born in Hardin County, TN to the late Otis Clarence Tucker and Sallie Stricklin Tucker. Ms. Porter was a member of Medina First Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star in Milan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Jim” F. Porter; son, Kenneth Porter; daughter, Linda MonCrief; sisters, Ruby White, Florene Phifer, Evelyn Cheeks; niece, Margaret Frazier; nephew, Gary Phifer.

She is survived by her brother, O. C. Tucker and wife Amelia; son-in-law, Phil MonCrief; niece, Jackie Phifer; nephew, Joe Cheeks and wife Cindy.

Memorials may be directed to the Medina First Baptist Church Building Fund.
